Yet I do not consider my journey not successful; for I have found that a good balance of eating habits and occasional sweet treats would not hurt. Therefore I have realized that I definitely did learn something from this experience of trying to find various alternatives for junk food that us students tend to succumb to during stressful times e.g. midterms, finals, etc.
Through this realization I feel like I have learned about what foods have personally helped me get through a long night of studying, and what has actually been more detrimental as opposed to helping me concentrate and/or be aware.
Along the way I have questioned the extent of what is actually deemed "brain food," but what I have realized is that this varies for every person, which is why we must all try and experiment different foods and see what does and does not work. By this method I feel like it would be more beneficial because individuals would have the ability to really get to know their body more and would feel more inclined to being careful about what he or she would put into his/her body(s).
If I had this class for another semester, I would manage my time more by designating more time for carrying out the surveys I wanted to do initially going into this project.
