Whether you're in high school or college, everyone is susceptible to waking up late in the morning and not having any time to prepare a nutritious breakfast. That is why here are a few tips and tricks to keeping yourself from losing focus due to an empty stomach:
Tip #1: Keep Granola Bars In Your Backpack
Just be careful with this one, because when buying granola bars you want to make sure that you're actually getting your serving's worth of fiber and carbohydrates, not just empty and sugary cereal bars that provide no beneficial use.
Tip #2: Set out some snacks and/or prepare your Breakfast the night before
I'll do a separate post on this to elaborate, but meal prepping is by far one of the most effective and easy ways to eating clean. Reason being is because we are not forced to just picking whatever's available in the pantry at that very moment, such as a Pop-Tart, Toaster Strudel, Toaster Waffles, and so on.
Tip #3: Keep a bowl of fruit in a convenient area
Sometimes we can't help but leave as soon as possible for our next class, which is why keeping a bowl of apples, bananas, or whatever your preference is in a convenient area allows you to just grab n' go.
Some challenges I've dealt with are that my test subject have found a difficulty again in just trying to discipline themselves from unhealthy food as opposed to simply following the advice and what kinds of foods are preferably healthy listed throughout my blog. Yet each time I try to address this issue by informing them about the repercussions that come along with choosing to eat unhealthy food instead of healthy, "brain food." Therefore by consistently motivating my test subjects and always reasoning them why the foods I am telling them about is much more recommended in order to have a clearer mindset going into each class they encounter.

As a high school student, I can relate to this topic so much! Waking up late is something I tend to do, so breakfast more often than not is missed in my mornings. My mom is really into being healthy so she tells me to at least grab fruit like you mentioned. Something I find generally easy to grab for breakfast is yogurt and granola; which is a really healthy way to start your day as long as they aren't just consistent of sugars but are made with real fruit and natural flavor and the granola is a great source of fiber and carbohydrates. I find that it is also easy to stock up on these items, and whenever they are in my refrigerator I never miss breakfast. Maybe try this: when you go grocery shopping, plan out healthy meals for weeks at a time? So don't just provide what to be eating, but also a meal plan?

Literally me. Because of school and having a first period I found my self skipping breakfast a lot more. It seems as though I just didn't have time. And with my defiance to spend my money on school lunches I found myself not eating as much as I should have and my whole diet had been thrown off. It's so easy to overlook eating and just ignore healthy eating habits, but after experiencing the consequences of that I have learned. It's nice to see that you're educating others in a way I wish someone would have educated me. I could have avoided so many problems. As for convincing your friends to eat healthy have you considered maybe making a game of it? Or a challenge maybe? It will make the idea a lot more appealing XD
